RRC Goals


The RRC will serve as a clearinghouse for anti-racism information, resources and training.
The Center will focus on four key components.

D.A.R.T.
  • Dialogue that encourages and facilitates cross-cultural communication among and
    between organizations and institutions that impact the daily lives of citizens in the region;
  • Advocacy that empowers communities of color to assume roles as valued contributors
    and participants in a democratic society;
  • Research that provides communities with information and resources to foster needed
    social change; and
  • Training that provides tools for communities to learn and employ new strategies for
    combating racism.
What are some anticipated outcomes?
Expected outcomes of ongoing and upcoming activities include the following:
  • Leadership development.
  • Capacity building.
  • Changes in institutional policies and practices.
  • Improved intergroup relations.
  • Effective crisis management.
